Honey Bee Helicopter setup tips and some modifications.

Setup and modifications for the Honeybee CP2, CCPM, helicopter Hope these tips help.

It is too expensive, as you know, to keep breaking the real thing. So try my rules of thumb:

1. Have someone hover that knows how to trim it out, don’t let him fly it though, just hover! (It is hard for a beginner to know what is wrong, the helicopter, or him!)

2. Never ever watch the tail rotor! Why? Well you have to watch the nose, just like an airplane, cause the controls are crossed. Most novices think right rudder makes the tail boom and rotor go to the right. Nope, it goes to the left and the NOSE goes to the right. So watch the nose. Again, Right Rudder is right nose, like doing a right stall turn with a plane.

3. DO not attempt nose in, because all controls are backwards, and very difficult. That will come naturally later on.

4. Never fly away until you can hover, because you will never get back without being able to hover and land! That is always expensive. Once in the air, it is really easy to fly. It is just like an airplane, elevator (Fore and Aft Cyclic) will make the helicopter fly up and down. Aileron (left and right Cyclic) will make it roll just like an airplane. You will never need to use the tail rotor, as it just follows behind, unless you need to make sharper turns. **But, when you come in

Hi i have the same problem like
    pizzaboy963 can you help me?

  3. KarlEgonII says:

the swash plate has to lean a little bit to the right in neutral position. that is because of the tail rotor pushing the heli to the left. if its leveled u have to stear against it until it loses contact with the ground.
and use a landing aid! it will prevent most crashes for you.

I just wanted to tell you. I think you are a genius! I wish someday to know half as much as you do. The people that know you must be very lucky!

Where else to get good advice than to ask the professionals themselves.

Can you tell me, is there a place to get helicopters repaired by exceed, like the
G2 and the eagle 50? I can do minor repairs, but putting it back together, it doesn’t seem to fly right. I must have done something wrong, I mean, hey, what’s with all these extra screws.

Thanks kindly for your comments. So sorry I have not had a chance to get back to you very quickly.
If you see my latest video, 300th, you will see how many emails I have and you will know why. LOL.
Thanks much. I guess most people repair thier own.; If it is still messed up, I would suggest finding a club or someone at the hobby shop to test it out. That is really the only way. What is is doing wrong?

Hello, how are you? My name is Matias Contreras Bs AS. – Argentina, let me know if you can help me with a little problem …
I have the transmitter of the Honey Bee CP 2 and would like to use to fly a plane, as I do to remove the mixture? This is done with the swich that are located under the battery tranmisor ????, thanks for your help!
    Matías.

    Sorry for my English …

  14. NightFlyyer says:

You can try that, but I believe you cannot remove the mixture on that radio. Sorry.

  15. NightFlyyer says:

I think the rotor blades are too tight. They are supposed to be loosely snug so they wont move, if you hold it sideways. Red light at full power is okay.

  16. NightFlyyer says:

Broken ball, out of track, chipped or cracked blades, swashplate fell apart, or blades out of track, etc.

  17. Nighthawkblack01 says:

Tried it and works fine, changing the position of swicht can use this radio to fly a plane, thanks anyway for answering, Matías.

  18. aviisback says:

    Hello NightFlyer
Can you help me with one problem? I bought the honey bee v2 fp and I am having a problem connecting the transmitter to the heli. I turned on the transmitter first then I turned on the heli then I got two flashing led lights. They are red and green . I waited 2-3 minutes and it was still flashing red and green and not solid green. So can you please help me?

  24. Datucky says:

@MythBuster998 That is the time a battery would last, 10 minutes! is normal.
