Learn How To Fly RC Helicopter (RUDDER & ORIENTATION SKILLS)

A video series teaching you how to eventually fly full function 6 channel RC helicopters. This video concentrates on getting you use to the rudder control as well as getting you use to centering the helicopter back from different orientations. The plan is to start you out on a coaxial helicopter, teach you the basics which are broken up into easy to learn and practice steps. Once these skills are mastered you are ready to move on to a 6 channel helicopter.

  12. AntoBoesi says:

i heard helis break a lot….is you heli there a good one to start with? what do you need? is that a 4 channel?

  13. MikeysRC says:

Helis do break often when they crash. Yes the one I’m using is a good one to start with, it’s a 4 channel co-axial heli.

  14. AntoBoesi says:

i dont have a lot of money to spend so i was thinking about getting a blu-ray or a esky honeybee cp3 and taking it easy at the start…could you tell me if there any good? i dont have much experence in rc helis…

  15. tecirlioglu00 says:

    its an co-comance isnt it??

  16. sk8doodoo says:

wat does co axial helicopter mean and does 6 channel mean that it flies upside down

  17. MikeysRC says:

Co-axial has two sets of main rotor blades like the helicopter used in this video. Yes, usually a 6 channel helicopter will be able to fly upside down.

    Hi Mikey,

Is there any simulator software that can work with that transmiter? I could see in the back that the plug says “TRAINING”.

    Thanks,
    Joaoolx

  19. jamesbound99 says:

hey Mikey i am buying a rc heli what would be good for training cause my uncle use to have and is great condition and i dont wont to wreck it what would be good for a training heli

  20. MikeysRC says:

Yes…it’s called FMS and it’s free. Search for it on the internet.

  21. MikeysRC says:

The same kind of heli used in this video OR and BIG co-axial. They are both about the same price.

  22. jap3zy says:

@joaoolx yes there is, you can buy those from shops.

  23. Lailaa6291 says:

that helicopter is 40-60 bucks at i think shoppers drugmart i saw it in the newspaper this week

  24. blackhawk438 says:

I have an rc heli and i am scared to take it 6 or 7 feet off the ground becuse i dont want to crash it so i generally stay low. I dont know if this affects its preformance though. I also tend to panic if it goes to high which is something i have to work on

  25. kiteboardzone says:

    Don’t be afraid.

Be leave it or not, crashing from 7 feet is more costly than crashing from 15 feet.

this is because if you over correct at 6 feet you wont have time to cut the throttle, and even if you do it wont stop spinning.

if you crash from higher you have that much more time the correct things and cut the throttle.

    Peace
