This video demonstrates how to practice hovering in a bunch of different orientations. The goal is to start programing your mind to control the helicopter as if you were sitting in it. Try to keep the helicopter in a relatively small area while practicing. Please SUBSCRIBE so you catch the next video as soon as it comes out. Please visit www.mikeysrc.com for more RC tips and info OR e-mail mikey@mikeysrc.com if you have any questions. This is part of a video series teaching you how to eventually fly full function 6 channel RC helicopters. The plan is to start you out on a coaxial helicopter, teach you the basics which are broken up into easy to learn and practice steps. Once these skills are mastered you are ready to move on to a 6 channel helicopter.

Mikey: 5 stars! I am a two decade RC fixed wing flyer and was always afraid to try choppers. Thanks for removing f the mystery for me!
You bet! Glad I could help.

i been flying for a while now so the info was abit late for myself personally but its great info none the less
5*
Great video for first time pilots.
the whole series is very helpful.
Great vid =) Love the little guy in the beginning hehe =)
Thanks =)
I LOVE RC
Nice way to teach people to Fly RC Heli’s,Keep it going Micky!.-5*
Thanks!
Me too.
thats soooooo easy using a coaxial heli DONT try it with a fully 450 sized heli..
Got my first heli this week, video’s have helped me alot, good job
I was wondering if you recommend that people start on 3channel or 4channel? I ask because I’m affraid of “setting” my brain to manage rudder control on my right thumb. I know I can just learn after but I want to avoid bad habbits.
Thanks and amazing work!
Yeah definitely start out with a 4 channel if you can.
I have bought a cp3 honey bee and have coaxial heli. i have been flying the coaxial for about a month now and pretty good at it, when is it time to move to the 6 channel
I’d say now is a good time. Sounds like you got the basics down real well.
Watched your entire series since I am returning to flying. Had a COAX back in the day and went with the fixed pitch mSR, glad I did.
One question for you. Is it necessarily wrong, or bad to fly with both thumb and index finger on both control inputs on the TX? I seem to fly better that way rather than just using my thumbs like you do.
Thanks.
@TexanAviator It’s fine to do it that way….completely personal preference.
u need to make a vid on how to make those little bouncy things cause i want some
Just buy them from my website…..only like $5.99
@MikeysRC awesome i am so getting them
@sk8doodoo A piece of foam on a wire does the job on smaller helis, but looks ugly. And the real thing is cheap.
what are you flying inside of
@nikeproglove garage.
